Boys roundup: Mid-Prairie cruises, WMU stays hot

Mid-Prairie cruises to stay undefeated with win over Regals.
The game was tied, 16-16, after one quarter before the Golden Hawks went on to outscore the Regals 53-34 over the course of the final three quarters.
Ethan Kos led the way for Mid-Prairie with 16 points and nine rebound. Carter Harmsen tallied a double double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Camron Pickard added 13.
Iowa Valley 50, Keota 49
Keota fell in a thriller against Iowa Valley Tuesday night.
Both teams outscored the other in two of the four quarters. Iowa Valley outscored Keota 23-19 in the first and 11-9 in the third. The Eagles outscored the Tigers 12-9 in the second and 9-7 in the fourth.
Sawyer Stout finished with 14 points for Keota. Evan Vittetoe had 14 points and 11 rebounds. Cole Kindred ended with 13 points and six rebounds.
Holy Trinity 44, Van Buren County 43
Tyler Snaadt’s shot at the buzzer lifted Holy Trinity passed Van Buren County. Snaadt scored 25 points for the Crusaders.
Jackson Manning led Van Buren County with 16 points. Anthony Duncan scored seven and Wyatt Mertens finished with six.
Hillcrest Academy 62, Louisa-Muscatine 35
Louisa-Muscatine led after one 8-5, but the Ravens went on to outscore 57-27.
Luke Schrock finished with 18 for Hillcrest. Noah Miller added 11 and Grant Bender ended with 10.
Wapello 47, Pekin 43
The Panthers couldn’t get passed the Indians in Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division matchup.
Pekin led after three quarters 39-30, but a 17-4 fourth quarter by Wapello was the difference.
Luke Long led Pekin with 12 points and Jackson Horras chipped in 11.
Winfield-Mt. Union 64, Lone Tree 34
The Wolves remain unbeaten with win over Lions.
Winfield outscored Lone Tree 18-12, 14-5 and 24-7 over three quarters. Lone Tree won the scoring battle in the fourth 10-8.
Abram Edwards led with 19 points and seven rebounds. Cam Buffington finished with 15 points, 11 rebounds and three assists. Jake Edwards chipped in 12 points and five assists.
Mediapolis 41, Highland 29
Highland fell to Mediapolis in an Southeast Iowa Super Conference matchup Tuesday night.
