Car club donates to Mt. Pleasant school lunch program
MT. PLEASANT — The 20th Century Car Club of Mt. Pleasant donated $100 to the Mt. Pleasant Community School District’s Kids School Lunch Program.
The club raised funds to donate by hosting a matinee showing of Smokey and the Bandit at the Main Street Cinema earlier In November.
According to advertisements for the event, $1 from every $6 ticket was donated back to the Children’s School Lunch Program from the cinema, and the club matched every dollar donated.
