The First Presbyterian Church in Winfield will be hosting a WAGG (Winfield Area Grateful Gathering) event on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 5:30 p.m. On the docket is Randy Davis, chalk artist and Bible teacher of Drawing Closer Ministries, from Branson, Missouri. A chili supper will be served in the fellowship hall prior to going to the sanctuary to witness a truly inspirational and powerful presentation.
Davis has shared his ministry throughout the United States for over 35 years. He uses a unique visual method to convey Biblical principles and how they can be applied to modern day living. A stunning chalk drawing concludes the presentation which is enhanced by colored lights and special black light effects revealing a previously drawn “hidden” picture. “This provides a surprise ending that ensures a lasting impression on everyone in attendance,” promises Davis.
Drawing Closer Ministries, founded by Randy Davis, is designed to support, strengthen and encourage churches and pastors around the nation. He is not the traditional type of special speaker, nor a preacher or pastor, but is a teacher and an artist whose work has grown into a full time, nationwide ministry.
His wife, Shirley, who sings and provides special music, often travels in ministry with him. Their aim is to provide churches with a different and unique alternative for worship services, Bible conferences, evangelistic crusades, banquets, weekend retreats and other church events. ““Our goal is to see men and women, boys and girls ‘draw closer’ to our Lord,” explains Davis.
Be sure to mark your calendars and plan to attend this November WAGG Event, featuring Chalk Artist Randy Davis, hosted by the First Presbyterian Church in Winfield. The public is invited and encouraged to attend. A freewill offering will be taken to help fund Randy’s ministry.
