MT. PLEASANT — Next week, Mt. Pleasant Chamber of Commerce invites teachers to their annual Teacher’s Night Out event at Airport Road Winery.
Every year since 2018, the Chamber hosts an event to show gratitude for teachers in the Henry County community.
With the support of local businesses, the Chamber provides a night full of goodies, snacks, appetizers, and raffles to show support for local teachers.
According to the Chamber, they usually see over 150 teachers stop by the event.
Local businesses are invited to partner with the Chamber for this event in a variety of ways.
Some local organizations offer raffles, prizes, and swag at tables. Others offer important information.
At the very first Teacher Night Out, Innovairre collaborated with the chamber and gave away a teacher “cake” made of classroom supplies.
Previously, along with information, Mt. Pleasant’s Team Staffing solutions gave away a 60 Minute Massage from the Wellness Connection at a Teacher’s Night Out event.
Many local businesses like Hearth & Home Technologies set up tables for the evening and provide information to local teachers on ways they can provide support through job shadows, guest speakers for classes, and more.
Businesses interested in showing their appreciation and support for local educators by participating in this event should reach out to Chamber Director of Membership Delaney Van Ness by emailing delaney@mpiowa.org.
Henry County teachers can enjoy this evening of appreciation from 4-6 p.m. at the Airport Road and Winery thanks to event sponsors like Walmart, Iowa Wesleyan University, Area Recyclers, and Beck’s Superior Hybrids.
