MT. PLEASANT— After seven years as the New London Community Schools Board President, Lindsay Porter nominated Jesse Howard as the next Board President.
Porter will continue to serve on the board, however, she will serve as the vice president for the next year.
All other members will maintain their current roles on the Board of Education.
Board members include Kyle Helmerson, Tasha Gipple, and Tim Myers.
In addition to a new BOE president, New London BOE recently agreed to raise the price of milk from $.25 per carton to $.35
According to an email from Clark Elementary Secretary Brenda Heinold to School Business Official Jessica Boyer, the school was charged $.35 last year for milk, but Heinold’s experience was that the school only charged $.25 per carton.
For one day prior to the BOE increasing the milk prices, Food Service Director Tyson Wintermeyer charged the increase amount, but fixed the charge until board approval was obtained.
