Collision with deer damages vehicle, but not driver

MT. PLEASANT — On Sept. 28 at approximately 7:13 p.m., the Henry County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a single vehicle collision involving a deer, in the 2000-Grid of Iowa Avenue. An investigation into the collision determined a 2014 Ford Explorer, driven by Rylie Davis, 24, of Mt. Pleasant, was traveling southbound on Iowa Avenue when a deer crossed into the roadway, striking the front center of the vehicle causing disabling damage.
No injuries were reported and damages to the vehicle were estimated to be $2,500.
