COVID-19 Vaccines available Thursdays in November
Available times have changed, but COVID-19 and flu vaccines are still available

MT. PLEASANT — Beginning in November, those wishes to receive the COVID-19 vaccines from the Department of Public Health will only be able to do so on Thursdays at no cost.
COVID-19 vaccines, including the new bivalent boosters, will be available from 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Nov. 3 and 17. They also will be available Nov. 10 from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Flu shots are available during these times and during regular immunization clinic hours on Tuesday 9-11 a.m. and Wednesdays 1-4 p.m.
Unless Public Health is able to bill an insurance company, the cost of the flu shot is $40.
High dose flu shots are no longer available, for the year.
According to the Department of Public Health, anyone 5 years of age or older is eligible for the vaccine as long as at least two months have passed since their last dose in the primary series or recent booster.
Homebound individuals by contact public health to schedule an appointment for staff to come to your home to give both the flu and COVID-19 vaccine. Call 319-385-0779 for scheduling.
