Crawfordsville Community Club will offer fun filled weekend

CRAWFORDSVILLE — The Crawfordsville Community Club will host the annual Crawfordsville Fun Days this weekend, July 7-8 with events outside the fire station.
Friday evening will kick off with a cornhole tournament and El Gringo Loco food truck from 6-9 p.m.
Two person teams will pay a $20 entry for the tournament. Those without a partner are still encouraged to attend and find a partner at the event.
At 7:30 p.m. the Lion King will begin at City Hall for a family movie night.
“Bring your favorite blanket and come watch this free movie with free popcorn,” the Community Club encourages.
Bright and early Saturday morning, the Crawfordsville Fire Department will begin the day with a biscuits and gravy breakfast. They will accept freewill donations to benefit the fire department.
From 7 a.m.-noon A car, truck, tractor, and garden show fill the lot across from the fire station with a tractor ride from Wayland Area Antique Tractor Club arriving around 8 a.m.
The show offers an opportunity for the community to vote for the People’s Choice Award from 10 a.m.-noon
From 8 a.m.-1 p.m. J.T. Sips and Eaton Good Kettle Corn will take up shop near the fire station while parade participants line up at the school at 9:30 a.m.
Following the 10 a.m. parade, local firefighters will battle it out to win the first ever traveling trophy for the iconic Fireman’s Water Fights.
Then spend the afternoon enjoying face painting, pony rides, a pedal pull, and the Lions Club lunch before participating in a scavenger hunt and Euchre tournament for a $10 buy in.
This year’s scavenger hunt will focus on a lion theme to celebrate Lions Club International’s 70th anniversary.
