CHAPTER L T.T.T.
Chapter L of the National T.T.T. Society members met on Monday, Nov. 24, 2025 at 7 p.m. at Olds United Church of Christ. The meeting opened with the singing of the Sword of Gold.
Roll Call: Six members answered roll call with: "What is your favorite dessert?"
Minutes: Nancy McGohan read the September and October minutes and they were approved as corrected.
Correspondence:
President Shelman had a conversation with a friend who had visited the Henry County Heritage Trust Museum. There was an area of T.T.T.
memorabilia. She encouraged everyone to stop by and check it out. She also shared some of the highlights and printed copies for everyone from the September issue of the Tidbits and Tales. Pictures from the founders day meeting were in there, along with the new shirts and mugs available for purchase.
Missy Fear reported the membership dues were sent in and gave the treasurer's report.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
The 2026 Program Schedule sheet was viewed again prior to printing. Karolyn Crawford and Marlys Fear audited the books and found everything correct and in good order.
Camp: A couple of names were discussed.
Charity: Nothing.
Camp Girls' Gifts: Missy Fear reported that the holiday gift cards will be to the 2025 camper girls.
Ways and Means and Old Business: None.
New Business: Christmas cards will be sent to members the club hasn't seen lately.
Bills for Payment and Proposal of names for Membership: None.
ADJOURNMENT: President Shelman thanked those who attended and wished everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.
The next meeting will be Monday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. at the Olds United Church of Christ.
The meeting adjourned with the Closing Creed. Refreshments of zucchini bread were provided by Marlys Fear.
THANKSGIVING GATHERINGS
Guests in the home of Jess and Betsy Lasek and Preston were Carolyn Love, Bruce Davis and Larry Love, all of Crawfordsville; Sony Love-Smith and Audrey of Keosauqua; Wesley Love, Lawson and Isaac and Jamie Baimes, Kamlyn and Kiley, all of Ainsworth; Tyler and Maggie Robertson, Kinsley, Noah and Alyvia of Mt. Pleasant, Jeff and Sharon Ryder, Cheryl and Tyler Byrnes, Ryder and Avery, all of North Liberty,
Doug and Carol Steele's Thanksgiving guests were Carmen Steele of Omaha; Doug and Carrie Wilkerson and Emma of Center Point and Cory and Katie Steele, Kylee and Clayton of Crawfordsville.
David Cerka joined other family members at the home of Jolene Cerka and in Ainsworth.
Larry and Donna Fletcher spent Wednesday at a pre-Thanksgiving dinner at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Steve Green in Washington. They were joined by Fletcher, Sam and Calla Green from North Liberty. On Thanksgiving Day, Larry and Donna, along with Kathy and Mick Garris of Winfield were guests in the home of Robin Fletcher and husband, Mike Rolling at Albia.
Thanksgiving dinner for the Davis clan was held on Thanksgiving Day at the United Church of Crawfordsville. A feast of traditionalThanksgiving day food was enjoyed by all and then games were played in the afternoon. Those in attendance were: Randy and Jill DeYarman; Joe, Kati Henderson, Emily, Molly, Own and Theo, Cedar Rapids; Marcus and Brittany Davis, Makinley, Bryson and Merrick, Mt. ATTENTION, CRAWFORDSVILLE RESIDENTS and SURROUNDING Area!
The tour of homes is coming up fast! The event sponsored by the Crawfordsville Community Club will take place on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. This will be a fun, family event for all. There will be Tractor-drawn rides to see all outdoor lights around town and then Cocoa, Cookies and Games at the Fire Station with Santa present. Let's see how many we can get to decorate their homes.
Tickets can be purchased at Peoples Savings Bank or from Community Club members. They are $8 in advance or $10 the day of.
Homes featured are those of Jeff and Amy Eubanks, Randy and Judy Robinson, Layne and Paula Twinam and Clint and Jenny Stout.
