WINFIELD — Homemade soup, cookie decorating, and Santa Claus were all waiting for families who visited Sinclair Tractor in Winfield Friday evening.
Festive decorations covered tables, Christmas lights wrapped around equipment, and happy chatter filled the back of the Sinclair Tractor location for the duration of this Family Night.
According to Location Manager Adam Dickerson, Assistant Location Manager April Smith is responsible for putting together this festive customer appreciation event.
“April plans everything and I just do what she tells us,” Dickerson said of Assistant Location Manger April Smith.
Smith not only came up with the idea. She also put plenty of work into the event.
“I made two soups and Evan’s wife made the other,” she said.
Smith warmly welcomed each family, played with the children, and served the cheeseburger soup, chili, and chicken noodle soup.
The children giggled as they ran around played with a Santa mask, consumed their freshly decorated cookies, and told Santa Claus all of their Christmas wishes.
One boy convinced Santa’s helper to walk through the shop with him multiple times to create a very specific wish list for the Big Man.
In addition to the delicious food and special guest, Sinclair offered a prize drawing, gave away cutting boards with knives, and set special deals on clothing and toys.
According to Dickerson, this is just one of many customer appreciation events.
With Sinclair’s 25th anniversary coming up in June, the company decided they would build excitement for their big anniversary celebration with customer appreciation events ever month.
“We’re going to have a big party out at Old Thresher’s in June,” Smith said. “It’s going to be huge!”
