MT. PLEASANT — As Easter approaches local egg hunts like those hosted by Main Street Mt. Pleasant and the Hillsboro Community begin to appear.
Both Main Street Mt. Pleasant and Hillsboro will host community egg hunts next Saturday, April 1.
Beginning at 10 a.m. in Central Park in downtown Mt. Pleasant, Main Street invites families to celebrate the season at the Easter Eggstravaganza.
“Put on your Easter Bonnet and join Main Street Mount Pleasant for their Easter Eggstravaganza,” Main Street Announced on Facebook. “This annual event, scheduled the Saturday during the weekend before Easter, includes a visit from the Easter Bunny (perfect for photo opportunities) and an Easter Egg Hunt in Mount Pleasant’s downtown Central Park.”
According to fliers in the Hillsboro community, the Easter Bunny will also visit their small town Saturday, April 1.
Also beginning at 10 a.m., children 10-years-old or younger will gather at Hillsboro City Hall.
“The Easter Bunny will lead the kiddos to the park for the egg gather,” the flier explains. “When all eggs are collected, return to City Hall to open eggs and collect prizes.”
Event organizers will divide the children into age groups consisting of 4-years-old and under, who may have adult assistance, 5-6 year olds, 7-8 year olds, and 9-10 year olds.
