MT. PLEASANT — For the 18th year, Enhance Henry County Community Foundation (EHCCF) will host a ceremony to announce grant-making awards and results.
EHCCF invites grant recipients, county elected officials and the public to attend the ceremony Dec. 13 in the Union Block at 11 a.m. to learn of the 2022 recipients.
“The mission of the Enhance Henry County Community Foundation is to foster private giving, strengthen service providers and improve the conditions of the county,” the EHCCF website states. “To these ends, it will promote endowment building, community, grant-making, organizational collaboration, and public leadership for the benefit of Henry County.”
The foundation’s grant-making committee received 40 grant applications for over $482,000, this year.
This year, they received $160,670 in County Endowment funds, of which 75% is awarded to county not-for-profits, communities and charities.
Additionally, EHCCF focuses on working with individuals, families, and area businesses to find ways to give back to the community they love.
“We offer a variety of charitable giving fund options to match your needs and provide access to unique tax-wise giving opportunities like Endow Iowa, a 25% state tax credit,” the EHCCF website states. “We are also here to ensure that your charitable legacy continues for generations to come so that the causes and communities you care about today will benefit from your generosity after your lifetime.”
