Extension Office takes farm owner and operator meeting reservations
Henry County Farm Owners and Operators meeting set for Dec. 5

MT. PLEASANT - Henry County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will host a Farm Owners and Operators Meeting at the Henry County Extension Office in Mt. Pleasant Monday, Dec. 5 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Breakfast begins at 7:15 a.m.
As the agriculture community starts planning for next year, the meeting will consist of an in-depth look of the agricultural outlook for 2023.
Speakers and topics for this meeting include:
ISU Associate Professor and Extension Livestock Economist Lee Schultz will discuss livestock prices and profitabilit outlook.
ISU Associate Professor and Extension Economist and Iowa Institute for Cooperatives Endowed Economist professor Bobby Martens will cover supply, demand and transportation issues affecting agriculture
ISU Professor and Extension Economist and Crop Markets Specialist Chad Hart will speak about crop prices and production outlook
ISU Director, Center for Agricultural Law & Taxation, Dolezal Adjunct Assistant Professor Kristine Tidgren will discuss farm tax update for retired farmers and changes in Iowa inheritance taxes.
ISU Extension & Outreach Farm Management Specialist Charles Brown will provide an update on crop production costs and profitability analysis.
The registration fee for this event is $40/person and pre-registration is required, as space is limited.
