Farm-to-table dinner set for Aug. 6

MT. PLEASANT — As the weather begins to turn to more reasonable temperatures Main Street Mount Pleasant prepares for the annual farm-to-table dinner in Central Park.

Guests will experience music by Whiskey Friends, drinks, and a delicious meal made with locally sourced ingredients from farms, gardens and the local farmers market.

This is another great opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy one another in a heartwarming atmosphere, that small town Iowa is known for.

“This year’s dinner is a picnic theme,” Main Street Director Lisa Oetken said, and the theme means there will be good ol’ fashioned comfort food.

She is excited for Main Street to pull off another successful event after the overwhelmingly positive turn out at the Music on Main event last weekend.
