MT. PLEASANT—Saturday, Mt. Pleasant Community High School’s FFA chapter hosted “Feed a Farmer” at Agri-Center in Mt. Pleasant and Chem Gro in Salem.
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. approximately 20 FFA students gave 100 meals donated by the Mabeus family to local farmers.
“Many farmers from the area, whether they were dropping off grain or just stopping by, took part in our event,” FFA Advisor Brady Martin said. “The students love this event.”
“Feed the Farmer went smooth and was awesome this year,” FFA advisor Brady Martin. “The program has been doing this for a few years now, and I think it is a great way to give back to the farmers in the Mt. Pleasant area!”
“It is a way for them to give back to the community and support the ever growing agriculture that Henry County is!”
