Friends hold surprise birthday party for Gene Carter of Hillsboro

A surprise 80th birthday party was held on Saturday, Aug. 12 at the Hillsboro Community Center for Gene Carter.
Daughter, Terri Reinier, planned the surprise at the last minute in less than a week.
Gene was very surprised as he thought he was just going up to the community center to help set up tables for the family reunion on Sunday.
The cake had three little green tractors on it and one little pink one. There were 40 good friends and relatives that came to help Gene celebrate his special 80th birthday.
