WINFIELD — Embracing a theme of “Build It, They Will Come,” the Winfield Community prepares three days’ worth a variety of fun to celebrate 2023 Crooked Creek Days.
Since 1994 the Winfield Community has celebrated Crooked Creek Days with activities that bring family, friends, and the community together.
Many of the same fun events such as sports tournaments, a cake walk, a fun run, and a vendor fair will return for the 2023 Winfield’s Crooked Creek Days Aug. 4-6.
The popular escape room also will return this year at city hall.
The escape room is recommended for four-eight people and costs $10 per person. According to the creators, the activity will take approximately 45 minutes.
To participate in the escape room, reservations are recommended. Make reservations by calling (319) 931-3169 to reserve a time.
Proceeds from the escape room will go toward WMU student’s 2024 Europe trip.
In addition to the traditional events many have come to love, a new event for this year’s Crooked Creek days will include Hover Board Races.
To participate in this new event, interested parties should arrive at the Winfield-Mt. Union School track Saturday by 9:30 a.m. While they can bring their own hover boards for the races, some also will be available to borrow.
Crooked Creek Day Attendees can also swing by Hy-Vee Pharmacy on North Locust Street and check out the Wanda-Lou Rock Snake which has already far exceeded the goal of 100 rocks by Crooked Creek Days.
