Getting Ahead class graduates
The Fellowship Cup sends out another class of Getting Ahead Graduates

MT. PLEASANT — The 2022 Getting Ahead class with the Fellowship Cup graduated, Monday evening.
The class focused on creating social connections and financial security.
Marla Turner, Lisa Diener and Mel Liles completed the 17-week course with the Director of the Fellowship Cup Ken Brown and facilitator Rita Frazier.
Turner would like to follow in Frazier’s footsteps and become a facilitator for future classes.
The graduates will meet once a month, beginning in the New Year, to check in, problem solve, and continue to work the knowledge they gathered through this experience.
“We met like that with the first class and it was on going until COVID hit,” Brown said.
With this class, a total of 39 graduates that have completed the program since in the inaugural class in 2017.
“Even though it is a small class, they hit the ground running before the class was even over,” Brown said. “They were getting results from the things they were learning.”
Keep out for another Getting Ahead Class in the spring of next year.
