Godfather’s delivered the pizza and took home the prize

MT. PLEASANT — Pizza Wars successfully kicked of the fall season for Main Street Mt. Pleasant Thursday Night as local pizzerias competed for the traveling trophy and bragging rights.

The winner Godfather’s was chosen through votes by community members who enjoyed sampling pizza from six different pizzerias in the square.

With shade trees, picnic tables, benches, and friendly faces, the gathering was a perfect evening for families in the area.

Casey’s, Paul Revere’s, Pizza Hut, Pizza Ranch, Main Street Pizza, and Godfather’s Pizza all set up with a variety of delicious slices to prove their pizza superiority.

Pepperoni, taco, sausage, and even dessert sticks could be found throughout the park.

Despite the hostile nature of “wars” the event was simply a friendly evening of the Mt. Pleasant community coming together, yet again.
