MT. PLEASANT — The last few Easter eggs of the season were hunted at Addington Place Saturday.
Addington Place Director Jason Murphy warmly welcomed community members as they arrived.
The event was attended by family of Addington Place residents and workers along with other community members.
“I like to see so many kids around here. I didn’t think there were so many kids in Mt. Pleasant,” resident Glenn Miller said as he held his great grandson Casey Swailes.
They enjoyed refreshments, face painting, and the Easter bunny prior to the egg hunt.
Just outside the dining room doors two egg hunting fields indicated by large egg markers awaited eager children.
“One boy went right straight out and took one of the big [eggs] and put it in his basket,” Resident Betsy Johnston said with a smile. “It took up his whole basket.”
The littlest guests filled their baskets to the brim with Easter eggs containing sweet treats, bracelets, and golden tickets for larger prizes.
There were also grand prizes tickets in a few select eggs for each age group.
Addington Place continues to roll out the red carpet for their residents and the community with these well planned and executed events.
“I was blown away,” said resident Barbra Molloy of the event. “These kids are just a riot. So much fun.”
