WASHINGTON — Sen. Chuck Grassley’s staff invite Iowans seeking assistance regarding personal issue with a federal agency or wish to share views on matters of federal policy to stop by their November traveling office hours throughout the state.
They will hold traveling office hours in 21 Iowa counties from Nov. 6-17, including Henry County and Jefferson County this week.
According to Grassley’s office, they “ … regularly help constituents contact federal agencies to address problems with Social Security payments, military service matters, immigration cases, veterans’ benefits, IRS challenges and other issues.”
Grassley will not attend any of these office hours as they will be divided between regional directors Penny Vacek of Davenport, Rochelle Fuller of Cedar Rapids, Jonathan Bladt of Council Bluffs, Laney Feight of Des Moines and Jacob Bossman of Sioux City.
Tuesday, Nov. 7, Grassley’s Regional Director Vacek will hold office hours at Mt. Pleasant City Hall from 1:30-2:30 p.m. following visits to Donnellson and West Burlington city halls earlier in the day.
Vacek also will hold office hours in Jefferson County Wednesday, Nov. 8 from 9-10 a.m. at Fairfield City Hall before heading to VanBuren and Davis counties.
Those that cannot attend the office hours are invited to reach out to Grassley’s office via his website www.grassley.senate.gov
“Serving the people of Iowa is my top priority. Traveling office hours held by my staff ensure Iowans’ concerns are heard and problems are solved,” Grassley said. “Throughout the year, my regional staff help Iowans navigate federal agencies and find solutions to a variety of issues regarding the federal government. I encourage anyone needing assistance to stop by my staff’s office hours in their area. Iowans can also reach out directly to any of my offices throughout the year.”
