Hat and glove drive keeps kids playing

WINFIELD — Despite a warmer weekend, cooler weather appears to be here to stay. That means elementary students will need to bundle up for recess.

Students not appropriately dressed with hats and gloves are not allowed outside for recess.

Winfield Sinclair Tractor partners with the community to keep kids playing.

Oct. 24-29 community members are invited to drop off hats, mittens, and gloves at 600 Highway 78 in Winfield.

Sinclair Tractor will take donations to Winfield-Mt. Union Elementary for staff to distribute as needed.

According to a Sinclair representative, the company has done this sort of a drive in previous years.

Their Muscatine location will host a drive for schools in their area, as well.
