MT. PLEASANT — Calhoun-Burns is taking care of the project team management for the construction on road department buildings.
To accomplish the planning phase of this project it costs $84,000 to develop the plans, the construction, and the bidding aspect of the project.
"The way I am working this in is that I have an engineering and administration budget to handle consultant work when we are doing bridges and my assistant position budget is not having any money actually spent out of that,“ said Henry County Engineer Jake Hotchkiss. “So, the money is coming out of our road services budget and not debt services.”
Hotchkiss also covered that W55 has had construction begin and while the road may seem drivable he would like to remind residents that there are men working and therefore the road must remain closed.
Additionally, Henry County Conservation Department Executive Director Caleb Waters presented the Board of Supervisors with candidates to fill the two open spots on the Conservation Board.
A decision on who will fill the spots has not been made, but it is anticipated that selections will be made as quickly as possible with careful consideration.
