HC supervisors hear road updates

MT. PLEASANT — The Henry County Board of Supervisors heard a series of road projects at its Tuesday morning meeting.

The board approved the resolution to award the Ash Avenue culvert replacement project contract to Iowa Bridge and Culvert at $265,087.70

The roads crews continue to work on dust control.

Work on W55 continues.

Friday, the culvert contractor completed the barrel section and is now working on flume and basin.

The grading contractor for the project, however, is waiting on the culvert crew before they can resume on the north side of the culvert.

The project is running smoothly, at this time.

Those traveling Bridge 105 on Winfield Avenue need to watch for signs posted about pavement failure.

The roads department will continue to do patch work at this junction until the contractor can begin work.
