Henry County Conservation seeks donations for playground

Henry County Conservation Department is raising funds to install an ADA-compliant, all-inclusive playground near our Nature Center and Top-of-Hill campground area. This play area will include two separate playgrounds: one designed for ages 2-5 and a larger area for ages 5-12 — both with sensory and active play components accessible to multiple levels of mobility.

The glider is wheelchair accessible and provides seating for up to 7 people. The 360 Loop is designed to allow children who use mobility devises to use the upper body to climb to new heights and increases equitable play for all children. The Nido Spinner and Niche Capsules provide relief for children with sensory processing differences. Included will be whimsical nature themed musical play components and educational panels.

Diamond — greater than $100,000

Platinum- $50,000 to $100,000

Gold- $25,000 to $49,999

Silver- $10,000 to $24,999

Bronze- $2,500 to $9,999

Copper — up to $2,499
