Henry County Health Center’s Senior Life Solutions expands program

MT. PLEASANT – Henry County Health Center’s Senior Life Solutions expands services to reach more community members in Henry County.

The program, located within Henry County Health Center, opened in 2020 and will begin offering a second track on Aug. 7, 2023, adding an additional therapist and nurse.

Program staff include a board-certified psychiatrist, two licensed therapists, two registered nurses, and other trained professionals dedicated to helping older adults in our community navigate difficult life transitions and regain their quality of life.

Services include confidential, comprehensive assessments, group and individual therapy, family therapy, medication education and management, and aftercare planning. Even though this is a group setting, each person is addressed individually based on their unique needs.

This intensive outpatient group therapy program is designed to meet the unique needs of individuals typically 65 and older experiencing depression or anxiety related to life changes that are often associated with aging.

Senior Life Solutions is committed to providing excellent care to the older adults in the community and is looking forward to serving more with these expanded services.

They are available to answer questions about mental health, provide educational presentations, or provide general mental health information. They also work with other health care professionals to provide education on mental health and the specific challenges of aging.

Anyone can make referrals to the program, including a patient’s physician, family member, self-referral, or another health care professional.
