MT. PLEASANT — Henry County Public Health will once again host a back-to-school health fair on Tuesday, Aug. 13 from 4-7 p.m. at Manning Hall in St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.
This fair will offer an opportunity for kids to receive their back-to-school immunizations, lead testing, dental screenings and vision screenings all in one place. Sports physicals for children in grades 7-12 also will be available for $25, cash only. Additionally, there also will be community resource tables, kids activities, and giveaways.
“We know summers are busy and go by fast, so we want to give this opportunity for parents to get all of their children’s back to school health requirements taken care of in one evening,” Immunization Coordinator Robin Poole states.
Various immunizations or screenings are required before entering Kindergarten, third, seventh, ninth and 12th grades. Language translation will be available.
