These charges and sentencing come from two investigations.
According to criminal complaints, on July 3, 2022 Henry County Sheriff’s Office started a marijuana distribution investigation which determined Vantiger was distributing marijuana and methamphetamine at is residence.
During a search warrant execution for this investigation, authorities found prescription pills belonging to other individuals, methamphetamine and marijuana pies, methamphetamine, marijuana, a digital scale, and packaging material.
According to court documents, the investigation further revealed Vantiger setting up times to distribute marijuana multiple times.
Additionally, Vantiger retained full custody of a child at the same time he allowed these substances in the home in which they both resided.
During the other investigation, conducted between Oct. 07 and Nov. 10, 2022, a Des Moines County Sheriff’s Detective posed undercover as a 14-year-old female on a social medial website.
According to the criminal complaint, Vantiger spoke about sexual acts, sent multiple inappropriate photos and videos, to the undercover detective during this time.
Vantiger was placed under arrest for these charges when he showed up to a prearranged location with the intent of meeting up with the person he believed to be 14-years-old for sex.
