WINFIELD — Winfield Mt. Union fourth- and fifth-grade students prepare to show off weeks of hard work at the WMU Living Museum and Cultural Fair Night, Tuesday, Jan. 24 from 5:30-7 p.m. in the library and second level hallways.
Attendees will taste food and learn about traditions from different cultures as they explore the library and second floor hallway of WMU School.
According to the WMU, teachers assigned each student a research project in which they will spend a couple weeks learning about a famous person.
The students will then use this information to create an information report.
What makes this research project even more interesting, however, is that the students also will dress as their person and act like them for the “Living Museum” part of the evening.
“On Jan. 24, these notable figures from the past and present can be found visiting WMU Elementary School,” the WMU Elementary s'mores Newsletter announced. “You never know who you will see! You might find famous explorer Christopher Columbus or famous basketball player LeBron James. It’s possible you could run into Albert Enistien or Betsy Ross.”
