NEW LONDON — Ice Prince and Princess entries for the New London Holiday Stroll are due Tuesday, Nov. 1.
Ice Princes and Princesses are a long running tradition with the Holiday Stroll.
According to event organizer Chelsea Boecker, the contest is the last push for Holiday Stroll fundraising.
Previously, contestants set up buckets and jars throughout the community in local businesses, but they are now consolidated.
Danville State Bank sets up a display of all contestant photos, and the community is encouraged to stop by, put their favorite candidate’s name on an envelope, and drop a donation into a large box to vote.
Children 3-6 years old make up the youngest age bracket for the Ice Prince and Princess.
Contestants ages 7-11 will compete for their own Ice Prince and Princess titles, and contestants 12-15 years old will run for Ice King and Queen.
Winners will be crowned the night of the stroll, Dec. 10.
All contestants are invited to participate in the Holiday Stroll Parade.
