MT. PLEASANT — Mt. Pleasant Community High School’s InMotion Show Choir brought home fourth runner-up from Keokuk’s Power City Classic over the weekend.
According to Dave Schneider, InMotion placed second in their 3A division during the daytime performances and qualified for the finals. During their daytime performances, Summer Schroeder also received Best Female Soloist for pipes in Take on the World.
Performing against other finalists Davenport North, Davenport West, Springfield Illinois, Xavier, and Fort Madison, InMotion took to the stage shortly after 7:30 p.m.
During their second high-energy performance, InMotion landed their fourth runner-up finish at Keokuk.
“Each performance has been better than the last, and we are so proud of the work put in by the choir, crew, and band,” MPCHS Music Department stated. “A special shoutout to senior Summer Schroeder for bringing InMotion home with some extra hardware and being named Best Treble Soloist for the day!”
The show choir’s next competition is this Saturday, Feb. 17 in Pella.
