InMotion show choir reaches finals in Davenport before annual invitational

DAVENPORT — Mt. Pleasant High School’s InMotion show choir took home fourth place in the finals at the Davenport North High School competition Saturday, Jan. 28 ahead of their own Invitational this Saturday.

This win came after placing fifth in the daytime round with other show choirs in their division.

InMotion competed against 11 other show choirs at the Big Dance Invitational judged by Bob and Jill Anderson and Allen Chapman.

Mt. Pleasant High School prepares for their own show choir competition this Saturday, Feb. 4.

All day Saturday, the Mt. Pleasant High School will fill with musical talent.

For the 29th year, they will host an anticipated 18 show choirs at the Annual InMotion Invitational at the high school beginning at 8 a.m. with the Middle School choirs.

Middle School Choir awards will take place at 12:25 p.m.

High school choir performances will run from 1-5:45 p.m.

The Middle School show choir Chain Reaction will perform at 6:15 p.m. and the day time high school awards will be presented at 6:40 p.m.

Finals for the competition will begin at 7:45 p.m. and end with an InMotion performance at 10:45 p.m.

Final awards begin at 11:15 p.m.

Admission to the event is $10 and concession are available on site.

For such a large undertaking, the Mt. Pleasant Music Boosters still seek volunteers for the invitational.
