Iowa Watercolor Society’s annual show in Mt. Pleasant

MT. PLEASANT — Mt. Pleasant Main Street Art Center hosts the Iowa Watercolor Society’s prestigious annual traveling show through the month of January.

The show consists of thirty of the best watercolor paintings in the state of Iowa.

According to the Iowa Water Color Society, “These paintings are a selection of the best paintings from the Annual Exhibition plus award-winning paintings from the Annual Exhibition.”

Top artists featured in the exhibit include first place winner Richard Hanson, second place winner Nash Cox, and third place winner Jean Weiner.

Frequent visitors to Mt. Pleasant’s art center will likely recognize Nash Cox’s work from his time as a featured artist in June.
