ISU Henry County to host pesticide courses
These courses are a must-have for commercial or private applicators

MT. PLEASANT - The Iowa State University Extension & Outreach will be offering classes for anyone who wishes to become a certified Commercial Pesticide Applicator. Depending on what the student will use the pesticides for, they must be certified for one or more of 23 categories, ranging from Agricultural Weed Control to Aerial Application (crop dusting). These certifications are a must-have for anyone wishing to spray pesticides, privately or commercially.
The scheduled courses are as follows:
Ornamental Turf & Pest Control- Dec. 9, 9AM
Forest, Aquatic, & Right-of-Way Pest Control- Dec. 9, 1PM
Pest Control Operators- Dec. 10, 1PM
Greenhouse Pest Control (Commercial & Private)- Dec. 10, 1PM
Ag Pest Control & Seed Treatment (CCA CEU’s Available)- Dec. 16, 9AM
Aerial Application- Dec. 16, 1PM
Fumigation (Commercial & Private) - Dec. 17, 9AM
Certified Handler- Dec. 17, 1PM
Private Pesticide Applicator courses will be available Jan. 13 at 9 a.m., Feb. 24 at 1PM, and March 17 and April 7 respectively at 6PM. These courses will be livestreamed.
