MT. PLEASANT — Iowa Wesleyan continues to be a hub of community involvement.
Oct. 1, the university will host a Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of facility upgrades.
These upgrades were made possible through a gift of $250,000 from National Management Resources last November.
With these renovations, the weight room was relocated from the basement of McKibbin Residence Hall to the first floor of the Howe Student Activity Center.
The renovation also relocated the conference center on the first floor of the Howe Student Activity Center.
The event will be held on the north, center of campus, side of the Howe Activity Center.
Additionally, IW will host an Alive After Five chamber event Wednesday, Oct. 5 from 5-7 p.m.
Guests will enjoy appetizers, beer, wine, and soft drinks in the Howe Student Activity Center Social Hall.
President Plunkett will deliver IW campus updates and door prizes will be given away.
IW is excited to show off their new IW weight room with this Alive After Five and invite the community to join the event.
