IW women pick up road win
The Tigers defeated Waldorf University to move to 8-2

FOREST CITY — The Iowa Wesleyan women picked up a win on the road Wednesday night in a contest against Waldorf University.
The Tigers handily won the matchup, 67-45, improving to 8-2 on the year.
To begin the game, they started out slow, keeping the game close throughout the first and second quarter.
Going into the locker room at the half, Iowa Wesleyan clung to just a three point lead over Waldorf.
After returning to the court, things changed for Iowa Wesleyan.
Straight out of the gates, the Tigers extended their lead with a pair of three pointers from Kyla Moore and Brittany West.
The Tigers ended the quarter strong with a 16-5 run.
Iowa Wesleyan nearly topped their first half total in the third, scoring 22 points to Waldorf’s 10.
In the fourth, they built their lead as large as 25 points, accompanied by a 10-1 run.
Maci Kuchta led Iowa Wesleyan’s offensive output with 22 points, while shooting 6-11 from three and grabbing three rebounds. Kuchta played all 40 minutes of the contest.
West followed Kuchta in scoring with 19 points, five rebounds and two assists. Moore added 12 points, six assists and four rebounds.
The Tigers shot 40% from the field and 37% from three, all while limiting the Warriors to a 30% field goal percentage and 22% three point percentage.
The Tigers will return to action on Wednesday Dec. 8, in a game against Lincoln Christian University in Lincoln, Illinois. The game is set for 5 p.m.
