Kiley Miller to present TEDx Talk
Jan. 19, 2022 8:26 am
The Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber Alliance is presenting a TEDx Talk by former chamber executive and current President and CEO of Trees Forever, Kiley Miller. The talk, “How Saving Small Towns Soothes Our Souls”, will be presented at the Heatilator Center on Monday, Jan. 24 at 1 p.m.
“I had the privilege of hearing Kiley present his TEDx Talk at a recent conference,” said Kristi Perry, Executive Vice President of the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber Alliance. “It is such an enlightening and positive outlook for small rural communities. I immediately invited Kiley to come share his talk with his hometown.”
TEDx Talks are designed to share knowledge that matters through short talks and presentations. Business leaders and other vocations take the TEDx stage to present ideas worth spreading. A TEDx Talk is a showcase for speakers presenting great, well-formed ideas in a format that is less than 18 minutes long.
Kiley Miller is the President and CEO of Trees Forever, a position that he accepted in February 2021 after a national search. He previously led economic development organizations in rural Iowa. Miller has been a print journalist, and served in the United States Army. A native of Mt. Pleasant, Miller now lives with his wife, Carry, in the Cedar Rapids metro area where they have two adult children and one in high school. Miller is passionate about the Trees Forever mission, and is leading the next five-year plan in collaboration with the Board of Directors and Foundation Trustees.
For reservations to the TEDx Talk, please contact the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber Alliance at 319-385-3101.
