MT. PLEASANT— Friday, Mt. Pleasant High School students and staff joined the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce to officially open The Uptown Cell.
Thanks to a $10,000 grant awarded by Gov. Kim Reynolds and a matching donation from the Iowa Economic Development Authority, the second floor of the chamber office is now available for use by local schools and chamber members.
The project was completed with the hard work of the Mt. Pleasant High School CELL Class, the Mt. Pleasant Middle School TAG students, and the Mt. Pleasant Chamber.
Refreshments prepared by Mt. Pleasant High School culinary class were served at the event and photos were taken by Kassie Phanthouvong and Abbey Perry.
