Main Street’s Cinco De Mayo Party

MT. PLEASANT — Thursday, May 5 from 5-7 p.m. the public is invited to celebrate Cinco De Mayo in downtown Mt. Pleasant.

Director of Main Street Mt. Pleasant Lisa Oetken is excited for another successful Cinco De Mayo downtown.

According to Oetken, last year was a hit.

Many businesses participated all around the square and offered up entertainment and refreshments.

Last year there were photo booths, karaoke, drink samples, food, and even a piñata made an appearance.

“We had people coming back from more saying we were the place to be,” said Meraki Day Spa owner Halee Lane.

This year Meraki plans to serve mangonadas, samples of homemade cranberry salsa, and surprise deals.

“Come out rain or shine,” Oetken said. “It’ll be a lot of fun.”
