MT. PLEASANT — Mt. Pleasant Community High School prom attendees will cherish photos from their 2024 “Once Upon a Time” themed prom thanks to the dedicated efforts of the high school video production team MPTV-Close Up.
With any important event at MPCHS, MPTV-Close up is there taking photos and videos to commemorate the event, and the 2024 prom was no exception. With a gym covered in twinkling lights, greenery, flowers, and other magical “Once Upon a Time” themed decorations, they had the perfect backdrop for the canon high school event.
Flower walls and a tulle, flower, and branch covered arch served as the perfect backdrop for the prom theme that carried through in the prom outfits of colorful dresses, tiaras, and sharp suits.
While a galaxy themed backdrop with light sabers might have seemed out of place to some at the fairy tale event, Marcus McAlister and a few others would likely disagree.
“Marcus wanted me to tell you all, ‘May the Fourth be with you,’” the grand march emcee announced as McAlister appeared in his Star Wars themed outfit with Molly Wilson.
Students certainly did not let an easy secondary Star Wars theme completely slip through the cracks on “May the Fourth.” Many students enjoyed the galaxy photo set up as just one of the many memorable moments created at on their prom night.
With the dedicated team of MPTV-Close Up attending the event, photographic evidence of the fun for the evening covered more than posed photos or grand march snap shots. The team captured much more of the evening including bright smiles as groups of students danced the night away.
