MPHS keeps “Eyes of Pride” fixated on the prize
MPHS takes home all the honors at their latest marching band competition

CENTER, MO—Saturday, Oct. 1, Mt. Pleasant High School Panther Marching Band continues to sweep the competition this season.
The Panther Marching Band earned first place in every category for their class at the Mark Twain Invitation in Center, MO.
They won best parade, best indoor color guard, best indoor percussion, and best field show.
Additionally, The Panther Marching Band took home Grand Champion overall for the invitational.
Mt. Pleasant High School Marching Band is directed by Jim DePriest with the assistance of Laura Westfall, Ron Coverly, Colin DePriest and Adam Creager.
Color Guard Coordinator Marlee DePriest leads the award-winning color guard.
This season’s marching band show is entitled “Eyes with Pride,” and consists of a mash-up of music from 1995-2011.
Some songs included in this year’s show include “Come Sail Away,” “A Child’s Race,” “MacArthur Park,” “Bohemian Rhapsody,” and “Born to be Wild.”
