Mt. Pleasant Bowling tops West Burlington
Panthers handle the Falcons in first competition of the season

BURLINGTON — The Mt. Pleasant boys and girls bowling teams picked up season-opening wins on Tuesday taking care of West Burlington.
The boys toppled the Falcons 2,505-2,159 to begin the 2021 season 1-0.
Jonathan Fortin led the Panthers and the individual totals with a score of 382. Alec Payne wasn’t far behind with a 373. Cole Wohlleber added 357. Jacob Walljasper bowled a 342. Nolan Myers ended the day with a 304 and Justin Allredge finished with a 255.
In the baker rotation, the Panthers thrived again, outscoring the Falcons, 747-704.
The girls dominated in their matchup, winning 2,123-1,506.
Kylie Alldredge won the individual title for the Panthers, bowling 301. Tori Hixson finished with 291. Airianna Taylor ended the round with 280. Addison McGehearty added 278. Eden Svoboda scored a 272 and Abby Anderson a 251.
Mt. Pleasant’s final baker rotation score was 701, while the Falcons scored 528.
