MT. PLEASANT — Every October, the Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce celebrates manufacturing month by recognizing local manufacturing businesses, and this month is no different.
According to the Chamber of Commerce, Manufacturing Month is an opportunity to celebrate all things made in Mt. Pleasant and Henry County including products like corrugated pipes, awards, promotional items, molded plastic, and industrial hoses.
The month is also designed to encourage careers in this sector by bolstering businesses and educational institutions across the nation to open their doors to students, parents, teachers, and community leaders. Additionally, these celebrations throughout October encourages manufacturing businesses to come together to address their challenges.
This year, the Chamber representatives and community leaders came together to visit Legacy Mail Management LLC, FRATCO, Walmart Distribution Center, Lomont Molding, Staats Awards, Innovairre, and Continental to celebrate Manufacturing Month and “recognize the vital role manufacturing plays in our community.”
While the Chamber thanked these companies for their contributions to Henry County, the companies expressed equal gratitude.
“We're excited to celebrate Manufacturing Month alongside our fellow local manufacturers,” Lomont Molding LLC posted to their social media account. “Together, we're building a stronger future for Henry County!”
