Mt. Pleasant City Council update

MT. PLEASANT — City Council met in regular session Wednesday to discuss day-to-day functions as well as FEMA flood insurance program, a new vehicle for the police department, and the hiring of a new officer.

A resolution for the city to join the FEMA flood insurance program was presented to the council and approved.

Additionally, the Mt. Pleasant police department came out ahead after the council meeting.

A need for a new officer was filled with the approval of the council.

Dalton Bass will be the newest officer to join the ranks of the Mt. Pleasant police department.

The police department also gained the approval of the council to purchase a new vehicle to meet department needs in the last city council meeting.
