MT. PLEASANT — In the early hours of Thursday morning, Feb. 1, Henry County Sheriff’s Office received two 911 calls reporting a burglary which resulted in an arrest on charges of Burglary in the Second Degree, a Class C felony, Attempted Burglary in the Second Degree, a Class D Felony, and Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree, a Class D Felony.
According to the criminal complaint filed by Deputy Richard Stallman, a neighbor called 911 around 5:30 a.m. stating a neighbor attempted to enter her residence through her bedroom window.
“The victim stated she was woken by a noise outside her bedroom window,” Stallman wrote.
The victim conveyed information about the physical appearance of the suspect which matched the appearance of her neighbor Jonathan Bowers, 36, of Mt. Pleasant. Stallman later found boot indents and “The boot impressions and the pattern on the bottom of the defendant’s boots were consistent with each other.”
Bowers was released on a promise to appear without bail and his pretrial conference was scheduled for Feb. 29 at 9 a.m. at the Henry County Courthouse.
