MT. PLEASANT — Arts IMPACT currently features the artwork of Diane Jennings at its art gallery located in the Mt. Pleasant Public Library through the end of April.
"Everyone is an artist. All it takes is practice, a little guidance, and your imagination," said Jennings.
Jennings is known for her monthly art classes in Fort Madison and occasionally in Burlington. As a result of her frequent teaching in a wide variety of media, she is well acquainted with many artists throughout this part of Iowa.
Jennings describes herself as "a true Dabbler in Art" which is apparent in her many experiments in a wide variety of media. She has samples in acrylics, oil pastels, soft pastels, watercolor, sculpting, pottery, felting, quilting, drawing, scratch art, stained glass, and many more media.
Her show in the library includes a number of examples of her work with Wrapped Rocks.
Diane uses photos from her extensive travels as inspiration, and her sampling currently on display in the Mount Pleasant Public Library shows her love of travels.
Her show is on display through the end of April during regular library hours 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Fridays, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.
Arts IMPACT is sponsoring the free display to introduce area artists to the Mt. Pleasant community through a grant from the Enhance Henry County Foundation.
