New Boosters are available at Henry Co. Public Health
Boosters for protecting against the original and Omnicorn variants of COVID-19 are now available

MT. PLEASANT — Henry County Public Health received the new Pfizer and Moderna COVD-19 bivalent boosters.
According to public health, these boosters protect against the original COVID-19 strain and the more recent Omicron variants.
These boosters are available for individuals aged 12 and older who have completed their primary series at least two months prior.
Those 12-years-old and older may receive the Pfizer booster even if they were originally given the Moderna vaccine for their primary series.
Those over 18 may receive the Moderna booster.
Any other doses of boosters must have been received at least two months prior to receiving the newest booster.
Public Health currently gives COVID-19 vaccines on Tuesdays from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Thursdays from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., and Thursday Sept. 15 will be 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
All Moderna, Pfizer, and Novavax vaccines are available. Individuals may ask for their flu shots, as well.
