New members elected as trustees, commissioners, and council members
While running uncontested, names appearing on Tuesday’s ballot will take up positions in various councils and boards across Henry County

MT. PLEASANT — Like races for county offices in Henry County, non-partisan races in the county appeared on the General Election uncontested.
According to the unofficial results for Tuesday, Nov. 5 election, Sally Olson, Michael Welcher, and Karla Maher will join Henry County Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital seven-member board of trustees to serve a six-year term.

After running uncontested, Jeffery Olson, Allan Barnes, and Charles Allen will join the Soil and Water Conservation District as commissioners. These commissioners will provide support to the district to reduce soil loss, improve soil health, reduce runoff and protect water quality on private land.

Anita Hampton, Cindy Conrad, and Jill Crile will join the nine-member Henry County Extension Council after running without opposition on the ballot. In their roles with the council the elected members will determine programming that meets the needs of residents. The council oversees the management of the Henry County Extension Office.
