NEW LONDON — The New London PTO is asking for donations to the new Birthday Book program.
“Every month, students that had a birthday that month will get to choose a book from the inventory that we have on hand,” PTO President Becky Kracht described the program.
“At the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year, we launched a Birthday Books Program,” Kracht said. “The students are loving the program and it is a great way for us to help get books to kids at home.”
According to a current PTO fundraising campaign, inventory is running low, and the PTO is requesting donations to replenish for the rest of the year.
The Birthday Book program began with leftover books from a book wall at last year’s Family Fun Night in March.
So, any extra funds raised will go toward buying books for that event Feb. 23 of this year.
The fundraising goal is set at $500 and ends Jan 31. Currently, the PTO has received $55.
The New London PTO Facebook page posted a link for this current fundraiser earlier this month. For additional information or ways to donate reach out to the PTO at clarkelementarynlpto@gmail.com
