Occupants safe after New London house fire

NEW LONDON — Emergency personnel responded to a house fire in the early hours of Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 109 South Maple in New London.
Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Henry County Emergency Medical Services, Mt. Pleasant Fire and Rescue and New London Fire Department responded to reports of a fire at the home of Leslie Fraise just after 1 a.m. Those in the home were reported safe after the departments worked together to extinguish the fire.
“Thank you to all the dedicated personnel in the area,” a representative for the New London Fire Department stated, specifically thanking MPFD, HCSO, and Henry County EMS. They further stated that the dedicated personnel in the area are always ready to jump in and help when a need arises.
